Today I want to discuss the skin condition rosacea.
Rosacea is a common skin condition that is ongoing. A lot of people think it’s just basic acne, as it can cause redness, tiny red pimples, lines, or visible blood vessels on the face. At first, it may resemble sunburn, acne, or even just rosy cheeks.
Rosacea and Facial Glyphics
I have extensively studied the relationship between what’s happening in the body, and how it shows on the face. It’s called Facial Glyphics, and it’s all about understanding that our entire body is a reflex organism. So, if I have a flare up on my chin, it’s not just a pimple. It’s actually a sign or signal that somewhere in the body there’s some toxicity or something going on.
Sometimes rosacea can be caused by a reaction in the body to something external. The most common triggers are alcohol, hot and spicy foods, emotional stress, and heat. Avoiding these triggers can go some way towards reducing the physical symptoms of rosacea. But if there are having ongoing recurrences of rosacea (and these triggers have been ruled out), then it might be time to look a little deeper.
Signs and Signals of Something Else?
When we look at Facial Glyphics, anything showing up on the cheeks is a specific signal of the stomach. It might mean you have eaten something that disagrees with your stomach. The best thing to do is give your stomach the time it needs to heal by doing some fasting.
Rosacea along the jawline can indicate something related to the lungs. On the forehead, it is likely to be a sign of a digestive issue. It could also mean you need to meditate because you are thinking too much. Issues on the chin can indicate the reproductive system, around the eyes relates to the kidneys and between the eyebrows represents the liver. All the different areas of the face represent something.
Healing Rosacea
So, if you have rosacea, and it’s happening over and over again in the same places, there may need to be some cleansing. The body needs to be given the space to heal itself. There are specific foods that support the different parts of the body too. For example, if you are having stomach issues then melons are really beneficial. You could do a fast on melons (watermelon, honeydew, rockmelon – they are all great). Other soft foods like papaya can be really healing for the stomach as well. If you did all that, you would see a lot of the symptoms and issues go away.
There are things you can do externally for skin conditions like rosacea as well. I have a process called Guasha that I love. It’s basically bicarbonate of soda mixed with vodka and essential oils, and you use it as a scrub. Skin brushing is another good one because it stimulates the lymphatic system and increases circulation, which is beneficial. It’s also important to use non-toxic products on your skin – like coconut oil.
So, if you know of anyone with rosacea, then I encourage you to share this blog with them. It is quite common in people over the age of 30, and many don’t realise what it is. Hopefully once they understand what’s going on, they’ll be able to reduce the symptoms and become a whole lot healthier in the process!
